I was born in Barcelona in 1977. I got my Chemistry diploma from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 2000. I did two years abroad, my third year in Manchester Metropolitan University and the fifth in the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Montpellier (ENSCM), where I specialised in Environmental chemistry. My final project was done in CEREMAP (Centre for the recycling of plastic materials, Montpellier), looking at additives to improve blend properties of mixed plastics. I continue this project the next year, with the help of La Caixa grant.
I got a Dphil in Materials at the Oxford University, with a thesis on the effect of the environment in HDPE degradation. I speak Spanish, Galician, English and French. In case you’re wondering, my blog is both in English and Spanish.
I worked at a strategic growth consulting firm in the UK. There I did several projects, all of them related with plastics. Thanks to what I learned from the consulting business and my technical knowledge, i’m now able to do projects focusing on market entry and growth strategies, particularly enjoying those on environmentally conscious materials, like bioplastics or naturally reinforced composites.
I lived around 9 years abroad, so I finally decided to come back home, in Galicia. Now I work as a freelance consultant.
